AcuityID LLC Presents RFID Networking Technology at
the MIT Enterprise Forum of Washington and Baltimore
On March 16, 2006 William Poulsen, CEO of AcuityID LLC
presented an overview of his company’s RFID network
infrastructure technology and business model at the MITEF
event held at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory’s
Parson’s auditorium. The event was well attended by
entrepreneurs, investors and representatives of the technology
and academic world. Representatives from Maryland’s TEDCO
were also present.
The presentation focused on the company’s cost cutting
technology that will help accelerate the RFID industry’s
acceptance and widespread use of RFID in the supply chain
and retail industries. The technology reportedly can reduce the
cost of RFID integration projects by 50 to 75%. AcuityID’s
market focus is on the medium and large scale RFID and IT
integrators who can use this technology to reduce costs and
entice system end users to implement cost savings solutions
with an accelerated ROI.
